Unhappy Book: Living in Santo Dominigo

last year I bought a book entitled (I think) "Living In Santo Domingo". It was surprisingly an excellent book and one that I enjoyed reading. It has now been confirmed that I shall be coming to Santo Domingo in March or April for three years, however my copy of the book is stuck in Venezuelan Customs and may be there with my other personal effects for some time. When I come to Santo Domingo where can I buy this book?

    Many thanks

    John

John- I am glad that you liked the book Living in Santo Domingo. It is amazing how quickly the city is growing and you will find that some of the information is dated. There are new shopping centers and apartment towers springing up every day. If I don't go out and about for a few days I hardly recognise where I am! I have lived here for almost 10 years and have a relocation company - Expat Relocation Services- we place expat families in the best position to adapt to new surroundings. We escort the family to the schools for registration, house hunting, shopping, medical services, and cultural orientation. my email is deb_ers@hotmail.com if you need any assistance.

I bought a copy this summer. The supply was very low at that time. Robert, are you aware if the publisher has any left?

Sometimes it can be bought at the "Thesaurus" bookstore on the corner of Lincoln and Sarasota cat-a-corner from Vimenca plaza.

Take a look at the sidebar of the DR1 Living Pages. See http://dr1.com/living/index.shtml

We have published several of the chapters of the book right here. Gradually, we will go adding other sections.

The book is unavailable in the print form.

A new version of this book will be available within the next 6 months. We have been working on new content for the past few months.
