Las Terrenas has a hug European population. Approximately 3000+ French, 1000+ Italians, 300-500 Germans and many others from just about all of Europe. There are also Canadians and Americans along with Haitians and Dominicans. The town is spread out over mile with many local business and also many small hotels and restaurents owned primarily by Euopeans. If you are considering relocating here I would say overall this is a good choice for ex-pats. My wife and I lived in LT for about 6 years.
