Thank you for posting. I have researched this area before many times. There are also several books on this. I do believe Aponte had a few Haitians in his group as well that were part of the overall movement. The Spanish did fear that revolution in Haiti. What's funny is that many of the European descendants joined with the African descendants and fought for a free Cuba. It was only a matter of time...
