C'mon have a heart. It was a very nice gesture he did not HAVE to help. Give credit where credit is due. Good on the officer!

Wow! One good deed. Congratulations.
Omet in Santiago are scum. One of these bastards tried issuing a ticket to a friend of mine
Sunday afternoon for running a redlight when in fact, the light doesn?t turn red at all.
It just doesn?t display green anymore. Lucky for my friend/ fellow DR1 poster, he flashes
a card/ plays the ?name game? with the little pos for a few minutes and we ride off without
the bs citation :cheeky: Two gringos in a nice pick up truck = $$$$ I DON?T THINK SO.

Protect and serve. So again, what’s special about this? Special is that Frank the Tank it posted because it is something special here unfortunately.

I've been warned twice and not been given a ticket in either case, when I was definitely turning left where I wasn't supposed to. Nobody looks more Gringo than me.

Not knocking the poster or the OP but in reality as mentioned it is part of the officer's job. I see it all the time in the SD Metro. The Metro officers are "required" to escort those in need within the Metro system.

Also on the Metro when an elderly, disabled, or pregnant women gets on the Metro someone will give up their seat. Again, it is the law.

I'll go for the more positive side of this.
However, I have to say that Santiago, while not a very "disability" friendly place in regards to sidewalks and curbs and most buildings,
does have a kindly bunch of people for the blind. They are escorted, warned and walked..

The AMET guy just helped another human being.

HB, feeling better today. Stressful few days. But that is life which at this juncture is better than the alternative for me.
