first matricula

i need to go to DGII to pick up matricula for my car. this is the first one for this vehicle. i know i need my cedula to retrieve it, anything else? should i come to DGII in that car or they don't need to see/check it?

apparently all this has been done but i need to go to DGII myself to pick up the physical matricula.

I bought a new car in Punta Cana in December of last year, and the dealer delivered the Matricula to me last month...not exactly warp-speed, but they did do it!

Have bought 2 cars from dealers here, always they took care of the Matricula for me. Never had to pick it up myself

just to explain that the car is new but was not purchased from the dealership.

anyways, tomorrow i plan to go to DGII and will report back.

ok, so i went to DGII and it was very quick. the lady asked me what type of car was it and only needed the cedula. had to sign some forms and that was all.
i asked if i had to do it myslef and she said yes, unless i gave someone else power to act in my name (or whatever the term for that is in english).
