cretins lose control over cars.

Sometimes they do, especially here. Have you ever seen a vehicle here where the wheels are wobbling so bad they look like they will fall off? Add to this zero brakes that have worn right thru the rotors. Now add high speed driving and a wheel snaps off

Tragedy on the Malecon
The Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) has confirmed that a man was killed and three others were injured at around 3am on Thursday, 2 June 2016 when a vehicle skidded and plunged into the sea on the Malecon of Santo Domingo.
According to reports, the accident occurred on the stretch by the Doll House nightclub on the Malecon. National District firefighters were able to recover the unidentified man's body. The father of one of the survivors told reporters that his son had returned from New York yesterday, Wednesday, 1 June 2016 and had gone on a night out with three friends.

There is the bright side. If the guy was drunk and speeding, it's better that he crashes into the sea instead of crashing into another car.
