ride from airport

Greetings and arriving into El Catey airport end of August and info required on best way to get to Las Terrenas, minimum luggage, but will be tired....long flight... Preference is private transportation, not a taxi as for 30 km ride very $$$thanks kindly.

lots of taxis at the airport.... toll is 500+ pesos plus the ride
less than 1/2 hr trip

ask the hotel for a pickup

It sounds like he is looking for a Private ride, other than taxi...
I think perhaps a brief explanation of how things work with respect to taxis in the DR , vs Private pick up is in order..

just pay the taxi ..and try to find another person going your way and split it.

This is when I usually chime in and offer my services, but way over there is not feasible for me to go that far.

My preference is private transportation as have had bad experiences with DR taxi's. It is difficult when females are traveling, and it doesn't matter how old they are. Thanks for all your responses.
