From the El Caribe report it appears this accident happened nearer Nagua at km 10, a few kilometers past Playa Los Gringos on the way to Sanchez........'Colorao' in the Municipality of San Jose de Matanzas in Maria Trinidad Sanchez Province.

For those that have driven this road often, you will know it has long fast straights with a few fast bends and lots of high speed overtaking in this area.

Noticeable this happens yet again on a Sunday. When will these drivers learn. Another terrible tragedy.

It is going to important to find-out WHY the cable was hanging down from the post in the first place. Shoddy maintenance by the electric company, someone trying the "borrow" power or something caused by a previous strike to the power pole that dropped the cable? These will determine who ultimately pays the cost of this accident.

Lots of death on the roads around Nagua this year. Sad.
