Could one of you, who rent a house in the DR, just tell me the annual percentage with which the rent is increasing?

I would definitely get an attorney to draw up the contract. In lights of the fact that they are a foreign couple I would ask for the fist months rent and a security and damage deposit in advance. Take photos of the property before they take the rental. Also you should make sure that it is spelled out that utilities are on them. Good luck.

I have been renting places for long and my way to do i prefer not to rise rent and sometime to low it, because i like to choose my tenants well. If they distroy the place or exemple put concrete in your toilet bowl it is starting to be an expensive trip. I try to
avoid as much problems as possible. Of course gold money is good, but peace tenants are platinium

You are right of course but 20000 peses in ten years doesnt have the same value as nowadays, in many countries it is pretty
normal rising the rent according to the inflation rate. And I have never needed a lawyer to collect rents.
