I am officially announcing there is something wrong with posting images on DR1. I have tried every method imaginable and I cannot get this image to show up. I know it ain't me.

I showed it to Mr AE, he read it as if it was plain as day, not a second of hesitation, lmao. Then he shook his head and grumbled about literacy in DR.

This sign is in the town where I work: Se Bende limber. Can anyone guess what it is?

Wow "Nunk aido"... If you hadn't explained it, I'd have never guessed it!

Not just in the DR. Many basic educated latinos make that mistake because a V is almost pronounced as a B

In the airport in Medellin Colombia, actually out of the city in the town of Rio Negro there is a sign repeated several times sometimes with the b and sometimes with the v. Sorry, but at the moment i cannot even remember what the sign said.

B and v are pronounced the same in Spanish. At the beginning iof a word, a b is a bilabial semiexplosive, as in bird
between vowels, they are both bilabial fricatives, like f with the voice turned on una vaca , abuelo.
