"Dived" is the past tense of "to dive". "He dove" is incorrect.

You drive your car in a parkway but park in a driveway.

Ring -> ringing, sing -> singing, bring -> bringing, fling -> flinging. Why not lightning -> lightninging?

they call them buildings, but they are finished . they should call them builts.

The fact is that some folks increase the linguistic fog by making things up as they go along.
My pet peeve, here, is the ad hoc use of acronyms.
I suggested a thread for approved acronyms.
That suggestion did not go over very well.

My not yet 10 year old granddaughter took a 1500 page A+ Computer Technician course to read.
She was a Dora fan, but at 9 Dora is not very cool. So she denies knowing any Spanish.
