All of us in my area are struggling to learn that route...
it'll be a long time before we 'climb the hill' to la Cumbre again - I fear
Is it only the bridge that is out beyond Jamao,
or are sections of the road up the mountain also destroyed?

As far as I know, it is only the bridge. I am headed to Jamao in about 30 minutes. I'll let you know what they say the road conditions are like higher up the mountain when I return.

I'm surprised that the bridge in los brazzos is still ok. Let us know how that one is Lindsey? (The first one after sabaneta on jamao road)

I saw picture somewhere of a section of the hwy in the vicinity of Jamoa al Norte half washed away. That would be beyond Jamoa proper.*

Sunny and semi-clear skies here in Jarabacoa, hopefully the same on the coast and waters have a chance to recede.

Are you sure about this? It wasn't a photo of the turistica?
I think it is best that we post info that we are really sure about. There are so many rumours going around

    Found it...

See DV8's post #2, this thread. I'm not sure what the turistica you refer to is.
