Frank Moya Pons is a Dominican historian from La Vega, and for the life of me I cannot find this particular book anywhere on the internet. If anyone can send me a link to a site that sells it, or a bookstore anywhere where I can get my hands on it, please let me know. It's extremely important. Thanks in advance.

The ISBN number is: 978-99934-39-50-9.
Perhaps a search on that number might help.

What is your timeframe that you need it, and where are you located? I have several bookstores near my house since I am located next to the university UCE. As one poster suggested above, Bronx NY, I will be headed to NY on Feb 1st for a week if you are interested.

From Wikipedia:
Dr. Rafael Francisco “Frank” Moya Pons is one of the leading contemporary historians of the Dominican Republic. He has published many important books in the history and cultural heritage of the country.[1] One of his best-known works is Manual de historia dominicana (1992), now in its tenth edition which is a staple work of Dominican historiography. In 1985 he authored the book Between Slavery and Free Labor: The Spanish, in 1998 The Dominican Republic: A National History and in 2007 History of the Caribbean: plantations, trade, and war in the Atlantic world.[2] He has also conducted much work into slavery in the Dominican Republic and Caribbean.

Moya has a Degree in 'Philosophy' at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD); has a Master in both 'Latin American History' and 'European History' at Georgetown University. Moya has a Ph.D. in 'Latin American History', 'Economic Development' and 'Quantitative Methods' from Columbia University.

Moya Pons has taught history at the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher in the Dominican Republic, in Columbia and Florida universities in the USA, and has been Research Professor at City College.

Moya was President of the Dominican Academy of History. In 2013, he published Bibliograf?a de la Historia Dominicana 1730-2010.

I hope it is here and not in my storage in Belgium. When do you need it and where are you located?

My time frame is like this-I need it by January 27th to take with me to Santiago. The book is for a friend. I am in NYC. If not, then after Feb. 8th. But we can work something out if you can get your hands on it during this time.

If the book is not a gift or surprise for your friend, they should be able to pick it up themselves in a bookstore close to Pontificia Universidad Cat?lica - Madre y Maestra in Santiago or upon your arrival you should be able to get it yourself. The author taught at this university. Maybe somebody with Santiago ties can help. Again, if you'd like, I can check in one of the bookstores here within my community which caters to the local students.

Sanpedrogringo-this book is apparently not available in Santiago. It's about as out-of-print as it can get.

If you could check your local bookstores that would be great.

Will do. Being out of print may cause a problem in the stores that cater to current students/courses. I'll inquire there first, and see if they can point me/you in a direction. I'll keep you updated.

Pontificia University Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santiago is supposed to have it in their library according to www.worldcat.org

Don?t know if they have any copies for sale.

Try a PM to Hillbilly, maybe he can check for you.
