    We spent today in Bani, shopping and buying fruit trees. On the way back, we took the Nizao/Playa Palenque exit and drove into the Punta Catalina site. We thought it would be further along, snapped a pic. It's a huge site

    Did you rub shoulders with the bishop and his commission who were there today then? Looks like they were impressed despite a price about a billion dollars more the the low Chinese consortium bid.

    It's amazing that you can see the site from space. Yes, that is huge.

    Yes, massive size.   There's a huge pier on the Caribbean side too. Mr AE tells me it's where they offload the oil that travels through the pipeline to Haina. (The pipeline goes right through our finca).
