from POP airport to lifestyle i suggest taking the main road through the city, it's called avenida manolo tavarez justo (don't take the malecon). as soon as you pass jose luis supermarket and public hospital (both will be on your left) there is farmacia cristal on your right. parking in front of it can be challenging (not much room) and it's bound to be busy but it's a good place.

a bit further down the road, also on your right, there will gas station (sunix, i think?). there is another pharmacy there, farmacia apolinar. also good. even further down the same road, in front in UTESA university there is farmacia las flores. convenient location but i do not recommend it for purchase of medicine.

i don't think there is a pharmacy in cofresi, the closest one would be a short drive away, in costambar, just enter past the gate and it will be in a third building to your left, next to a bar and a small ferreteria.

there is a doctor's office inside lifestyle so it's possible they may have some medicine and there is a good chance that they can order a delivery for you from a pharmacy in the city but expect to pay extra.

I would suggest buying any medicines from a pharmacy. There is a black market for many medicines which are widely sold through colmados. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the smaller independent pharmacies even do this (I think I remember one getting caught selling knock off or expired medicines in the capitol).

i also advice against buying that stuff from colmados. high chance it's fake, expired, improperly stored and so on.

And dv8 can comment on this....but recently I asked what it means when a farmacia has a sign that says "lista B." I was told that it sells samples of meds, so you can buy just one of something and that the prices are really cheap.

I also heard that often they have fake meds.

Costambar
There is a 24-hour pharmacy on the left hand side of the road about a mile past Playa Dorada. If you get to the Brugal plant on the right, you just missed it. On down the road there is another 24-hour farmacia on the right about a mile later after several traffic lights. Depending the time, I highly recommend the pharmacy in Costambar. They speak English and are used to tourists who want Viagra or the like, if that is what you're looking for. Or if you need a specific medication they do not have, they will get it for you and can deliver it. Enjoy your visit. Judy
