I am looking for someone in the US who will be travelling to the north Coast (Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete in the near future. I have an Amazon order that is looking for transport.

4 small items
Less than 1 lb
Value $100
Nothing illegal to bring into the DR, not breakable, not food or otherwise perishable
Invoice available upon request

I will deliver to you in the US and meet up with you when you arrive here.

Thx.

SDR,

Thx but not particularly helpful. I have several freight forwarder accounts but do not wish to use them this time.

... that last post puts a different light on the request!

This thread may be better in the North Coast forum (or both).

OK. I'll ask since speculation most likely abounds on; what are these 4 small legal items that costs under $100. total from Amazon that you don't wish to ship via normal freight that would be opened at customs? But it would be OK if someone else entering and perhaps having customs open while they enter the D.R. or perhaps even in the U.S.?

We mule items back all the time but we must have an invoice and we DO open the package before hand.

I'm not trying to cause a stir or imply that you are doing anything wrong. But kinda have "red flags, flashing lights, horns and alarms" going off in my head. lol

My wife is at the Miami Hilton and leaves on tomorrows (Friday) flight to POP. Most likely not enough time to get it to her but would really need to know what these items are.

If it were Meem's asking? I'd guess shoes or ... personal entertainment enhancement devices? (A pair of shoes is over $100.)

Curious minds want to know. But then again, non of my business.

Wishing you all the luck. ;)

Sorry to say with increased vetting and security leaving the U.S. and also upon arriving in the DR I really don't think it is wise to ask anyone, espescially someone you don't known, to transport things for you via airlines to the DR. Not smart, and the fact that you will not disclose what these things are is highly questionable.

Only a buffoon would transport these item without first seeing what they are.

I expected some responses like this, which is why I stated, not illegal, value about $100 and an invoice could be provided upon request. Of course the person bringing them to the DR will know what they are. These are just items of a personal nature that I do not wish to broadcast to everyone on DR1 forever.

I'm not a deviant, these items are not dangerous goods, it's not Viagra and they have nothing to do with sex, drugs or rock & roll. These items are sold on Amazon and will be delivered to the person bringing them to me by Amazon. I expect the person bringing them will have no issues with customs at the airport. Enough said.

I'll work out the details with the individuals directly via PM and email shortly.

Thx to all who offered to help.

I would not be paranoid to deliver the order, as long as one has Amazon order #, package arrives and matches the order and shipper (Amazon Prime or whoever fullfilled it). I might want to still open it and inspect everything. A screenshot photo of the order would be a good idea also. I love Amazon Prime, I buy furnace filters to running shoes to mobile phones, everything under the sun. I am not in DR until early Summer. Good luck.

Kyle,

Amazon often uses boxes several times too big for the items inside. I expect the recipient to open the shipping box, take the items out and put them in their suitcase or carry on. I will email the transporter a copy of the amazon invoice, the items on the invoice will match the items in the box. I'll even supply the tracking number so you can follow the shipment until it is delivered.

Are you offering? When are you coming? Where will you be staying? PM me if you'd like. Thx.

Issue resolved. Thanks to everyone. Glad to see that DR1 can still be helpful in getting stuff done when it is needed.

Please update us when you get the items from your "mule". Good luck and good travels.

I'm not quite sure what sort of update will be warranted. I'm not anticipating any problems. I have no fears that the longtime DRone personality, who I dare say is a well known (as well known as a pseudonym based personality can be) and possibly even respected member of our community, will abscond with my horde of trinkets. I don't view this person as a "mule", instead as someone helping someone else out because they are in a position to do so and they are not being asked to put themselves out to any great degree.

I am thankful that there are still nice people around that one can reach out to to for help when it is needed. My proxy transport agent has been fully apprised of who, what, when and where. There are good with it, so that should be good enough for everyone else, despite the DR1 proclivity of some to assume or gamingly imply some degree of nefarious intent or subterfuge.

Now I just have to figure out if they are a red or white wine personality, so that I can properly acknowledge my appreciation for their assistance.
