So. . . I guess Jim and I are wasting "bandwidth", oh well, what can I say? Oh I know, I just can't say it Here!
In case anyone want's to know where Golo is, I know, he'll be posting on DR+RD when they return.
This is my reply to Jim H.:
^^^ "How gullible are you? How big a sucker are you for spin? How willing are you to believe everything your government tells you without thinking for yourself? You're about to find out." ^^^
Jim H,
Look's like you fell for it hook, line and sinker. There seems to be a contradiction in Bush's decision to entomb a "shadow government". There is 'zero' evidence that 'Ozama the Badone' has the ability to cause a nuclear weapon to be detonated in the USA. If there was a credible threat then shouldn't he be taking cover?
If ben Laden had the capability to do this unthinkable act then Manhattan would probably be the first target, for maximum damage and loss of life. Actually the > REAL < danger is in the detonation of a "dirty bomb", one radioactive 'rod' and some high yield explosives. The 'rod' can be found in the food service industry, there're used in a method of preserving (irradiation) of certain foods. The resulting radioactive debris would effect millions of people and tens of thousands of those would die from cancer. To cleanup the radioactive materials from this disaster would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of two trillion dollars. A surefire working model of an atomic weapon is problematic to say the least. On the other hand a Datsun pickup, some plastic', a 'rod' and a couple of determined individuals can get the job done.
Jim, don't attack the messenger, Bill Press isn't an idiot, he is simply pointing out the hypocrisy in the way GWB is prosecuting "his" war on terrorism. Bush has asked for hundreds of billions of dollars for the a monstrous military build up. His pet project, (star wars revisited) is nuts, billions for something that will NEVER work. The current (best) thinking on missile defense is in the deployment of a system that detects and intercepts long rang weapons while they are in 'boost' (and not up to speed) phase and close to their launch site.
"I'm glad we have an honest thinking man in the oval office."
That's subject to debate. . .
"How does this relate to the Dominican Republic? Placing a snide comment the DR president at the beginning doesn't make it DR related material."
In what way does 25% that's written (childish B.S.) in this forum have to do with the DR? At least I try to written something that's germane in the "real world". . .
regards,
. . . CES"
