The Sirenis Punta Cana Casino and Aquagames resort has just been slammed in the British tabloids.

Interestingly enough in the most recent reviews at Tripadvisor some are critical but some are favourable. 8,403 reviews rate it 4 stars.

Sand in pool... Happens sometimes even at best resorts. A dish he was served? Are there no buffets in Sirenis to go get something different? Blocked toilet? I guess he was throwing the disposed paper to the toilet instead of the nearby bin.... All this happens when complete idiots come to vacation to the DR.

I would deduct 1 to 1 1/2 stars from any rating here. I only go to resorts when my daughters visit but if one is rated a 4* I would say it's 3 at best.

Well I would tend to believe the Brit.  Trip Adviser? Too many tend to ...not exactly write the truth.  First headline of Brit paper calling ths 5 star?  No such thing in DR (according to me).  All inclusive..you get what you pay for and let's all face it ..lthere have been multitudes of reports citing TERRIBLE food illnesses at these kinds of hotels. Service at these places by non English speaking?  Disasters in the making.

Well the Brits I have met at the AI resorts have been very nice and friendly.....but the ones I have seen do spend much of their time at the bar.......

i stayed at this resort 7 years ago. It was OK at best then. I'm sure over the years things have deteriorated like most things here.
