there's always hope, DV8, never give up.
Don is not a high octane power machine, but run's it's 45knots winds within a very small radius,
so from the farest southernmost central caribbean it could maybe send a couple clouds to reach the capital, but it will be very tiny ones, lol.
on the last almost 1000 miles approaching the southernmost Islands it will walk over there and should bring strong winds and strong rain only to very small areas and only for a very short time period.
aside of some long range sent light clouds(ya know, todays everything is light, zero, fat free etc, lol) reserved for DV there will not be any effects from TS Don for our Soil.
the system behind Don will mst likely not become a name nor number in the books.
it is wandering NW'ern directions towards very dry low/mid Atmosphere grounds,
so waht ever it wanna become, it has no more than maybe 36 hrs left to reach it's goal,
fro there on it will get insignificant quickly.
this week looks all good for us, nothing to watch on the maps for us,
so we keep watching the beauties on da Beaches and at the Marina, my daily morning pleasures.

the only way to see me on a 15kilometer trail would be to watch me on a ride on the playstation, lol.
o.k., during hard times i would run 15 km to a next open and plata powered colmado in case a Storm takes power of my lil fishing town down for a week, just to keep the greenies on a reasonable cooling level.
but that will not happen any time soon, not here in Punta Cana.
TS Don approaching the southern Island Belt is already loosing powers.
it was in a lowest windshear and not too dry environment til now and did not manage to become anything more than a low scale TS.
now it is entering mid and later high wind shear envirnment with medium amounts of dry air mixing in,
no chance that it will become anything, it is already loosing powers, central pressure will rise very soon
and the pooof, azzkicked from the maps.
nothing changed n the system behind Don, it will be thin air elsewhere the next weekend
and doesn't look like it could manage to gte a TD number, less a TS Name.
just back home, of course including a colmado stop for the liquids, darn heat to fight,
    no 15Km been necessary today,
just the 30 meters from the Parking up to the 2nd floor office,
i can report that the beer stayed cold on the way through that darn Sun after i left the A/C of the car.

    ooh,
forgot to mention in case some of our readers here are anywhere down on the Islands there,
at this moment Don's straight westward track, which been very constant since it appeared,
will let it miss any Island/Land.
looks like it walks into the caribbean Sea without bring any TS Force Winds to any Human surroundings,
unless some guys would be with a boat right en route, and even then such weak TS is no real trouble for a good Boat.

    Pufff,
and DV's hopes all puffed into thin air, as awaited.
Don ishistory and so will be soon the Disturbance mid Highway,
    without bothering anybody.
only checked our near caribbean surroundings on the road, looks all good.
later back home i will watch out for the farer East
but at this time nothing special awaited, conditions are over all not much in favor of developments
unless a very strong big wet area would hit atlantic waters with a Tropical Wave in movement
to run a fueling machine rom the ebginning taking away our nice dry air.
the Transfer services at the Marina drive me crazy toda with their mix ups,
this morning so far i would have prefered to deal with Don while fishing
over the crap at the Docks, lol.

i guess my outlook from a week ago or two, about the weak waves over Africa coming to prepare the pavement,
was not much away from what happened.
the southern lane of the Highway is Moistured, so is wide parts of the mid lane.
the "unsignificant Disturbance behind TS Don went as awaited NW and got azzkicked,
but it's short and barely noticed appearance has for several days a important effect,
that system sucked up a lot of heavy dry air in the lower and mid Atmosphere,
due that the western half of the Highway, the part towards the Islands, is not a quart as dry as it was a few days ago.
Cental Africa is spiked with Waves moving Westawards Hoo,
I don't think their appearnace will stop any soon, the poosite, we may see some line-ups later thjis month/early august.
Windshear is on the open lanes not really much hostile against Storms,
on our western Highway End it is actually quiet very favorable, as TS Don disturbed our Athmosphere's stability.
a unsignificantly weak and undangerous TS and a Disturbance/few hundred miles wide bunch of clouds,
i see that they did significant changes to the conditions out off our East.
we have to see what comes from Africa this weekend,
after that conditions may be very different again,
they are too hard to look on further into the furture.
just rained a bit here in Fisher Town, nice fresh breeze at the moment,
feels well after the last days with very high humidity in the evenings.

    it is almost WEEEEKEND again
and nothing will bother this one.
