When I sign on and click "new messages" then the little blue button beside thread, I end up at beginning of thread I can't seem to find anyway to get to beginning of unread posts

I did have another idea. Don't use Firefox, so no idea if it is possible but does Firefox refuse cookies? Without them, last read post won't work.
ETA. Don't forget Robert's cure-all. Clear your cache.
Look to the right of where you click for new posts. At the end is the quick links tab.
