My macbook pro screen faded to black and never came back. 2 years have passed since I purchased it in Georgia U.S., I thought my warranty had expired (it was not), so I called apple. I was giving two options, ship it back to the U.S. or take it to an authorized apple shop in Santo Domingo. 

The representative told me all the locations in SD, I choose Oneclick (formally iZone) at Agora mall. Apple recognized it was a factory defect and paid for the entire repairs. 

Kudos, to the staff at Oneclick at Agora mall, eventhough it took a month, my macbook is back online.

I've had similar results at the store in Novocentro, fast and friendly, same as Apple service in USA
