The biggest draw to the Montaña Redonda in eastern Miches is being able to share photographs of yourself flying on a witch’s broom. The tour can be self-arranged, but for some time, tour companies have been offering excursions to the 1,000 feet hilltop from where the awesome 360 degree views of the Samana Bay, the Miches mountain range, Costa Esmeralda beaches and the El Limón and La Redonda lagoons.

AA helps customers keep track of their luggage
American Airlines joins United and Delta in offering a service to help passengers track their lost baggage. The service is especially welcome during the peak summer time travel season.

American Airlines’ Customer Baggage Notification (CBN) tracks where your bags are when you land. If your baggage does not arrive on the flight, the CBN provides information to the passenger’s mobile device showing where your bags are and when you can expect to be reunited with them after a flight. The service relieves passengers from waiting in line to file a claim with an agent at the Baggage Service Office. Now passengers whose bags didn’t arrive with them can file the claim directly from their smart phone.

According to American Airlines:
Shortly after you arrive at your final destination, you’ll get an alert from CBN if your bag was early in arriving or was left behind. There are three different AA baggage alerts:

Early Baggage Arrival: Alerts customers that their bag arrived before them and directs them to pick up their bag at the Baggage Service Office.

Late Baggage Arrival – Go to the Baggage Service Office: Alerts select customers, for example, those with an international segment in their reservation, to see an agent at the Baggage Service Office.

Late Baggage Arrival – Mobile Baggage Order (MBO): Alerts customers to fill out an MBO on their mobile device. The MBO will prompt you for delivery details and a bag description to ensure you’re reunited with your bag. With MBO, there’s no need to stop at the Baggage Service Office.

The service is only available for those who have downloaded the American Airlines app, have an AAdvantage account or provide contact information during booking or check-in. AA will then be able to send you the alert to easily track your baggage until you’re reunited with it.

United has been offering the proactive baggage notification service since 2015. The United baggage notifications keep customers informed via text message or email if their bags will arrive early or will be delayed. Customers who provide contact information for flight updates during the check-in process will automatically receive day-of-travel messaging if their baggage is affected.

Delta began offering Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) bag tracking solution in 2016 through the Delta app with live push notifications from critical points along their bag’s journey.
