I purchased a vacation club membership at Puerto Plata Villages in Playa Dorado almost three years ago and have not been back. I plan to go this winter for at least a month, maybe three and split my time between that resort and their sister resort in Sosua - Casa Marina. I am wondering if anyone else here has club memberships with them and will be staying long term over winter? Would love to get to know you over internet and then meet up there. As I travel alone, I am always looking for friends. I met a nice gentleman at a church service who was the one who told me about the club membership as a way to live part time in the DR for a very reasonable rate but I have lost his contact info. He told me there is a nice group of people who go there every year and hang out together. I am hoping to reconnect with him or connect with people in that group.
