A propane powered generator would be cleaner than a gasoline or diesel powered generator. Burning fossil fuels is not considered green using the standard definition of that word.

Solar panels and wind turbines are green.

A generator is de facto not green and polluting. As said buy a propane powered. I Personallly would buy a diesel. Even wouldnt worry to much when I see the "classic" escolares or schoolbuses running around with their black tails.

Practically everyone that has posted about propane powered generators, and two of my neighbors, have regretted getting them. It begs the question:" Are there any reliable propane generator models available in the DR?"

I wold also recommend a diesel generator. Kubota is a name they know here.

I have a Generac 10KW propane generator. It has worked flawlessly for over 6 years.
Bought it in PriceSmart. These units are very popular in the US.
