I am a US citizen and resident in the Dominican Republic, but I recently got married in the US and will be returning to the DR with my wife. I know that if she comes in with a tourist card to stay that we will have to pay fines anytime she leaves the country. Is there anyway that she could get a perminant visa until we are able to get her residency papers. I am a missionary and we plan to stay in the DR for many years.
