Become a legal resident and you don't pay overstay fees. You need to be a resident here to work legally anyway.

And if you work for someone here in the DR with out becoming a legal resident, you are working illegally.

Anyone who needs to work here, other than on line work for US wages, is in for a rude awakening on what salaries can be gotten.
