Has anyone flown a private plane into COZ?

Looking for basic updated info....fbo, tiedowns, suggestions, etc.

CB, Beeza?

Mapping out a bucket list trip through several of the Islands in the Saratoga and looking for the local take on things.

Thanks in advance.

Rarely used, and mountain winds. Not sure
of fuel availability. Breeza?

Never been.  Need really good viz and there hasn't been for some time.

It's on my list of places to go.  Would prefer to do it with someones who has experience and local knowledge.  I'll put the offer out there if there is anyone who has been there in a C172.

Constanza has a nice, long runway. Having been to the area dozens of times my only concerns would be gusty mountain winds with their unpredictable up and downdrafts, a steep descent into the valley and altitude, about 4000'.

It's empty now? A couple of years ago there were two people working there.

I will drive up in April and scout the airport and surrounding locale.

Some nice private accommodations up there to spend a couple of days.

What was the name of that restaurant we had lunch at a couple of years ago?

Mountain airports can have rapidly changing ceilings/weather, terrain, fuel, tie downs, security, and other challenges, etc.,......best to anticipate and plan alternatives for as many of these as is possible.

The place is called Alto Cerros. They have very nice rooms, also. We'll be there next week. I'll stop by the airport for you and see what's what.
