We are tired of the noise of El Corticito (techno "music" till dawn some nights), getting more crowded year after year. Are thinking of Cap Cana but understand we need a vehicle to get around. Any ideas about renting/buying a moped for Jan-Mar? Is there any place to store a moped from year to year?

For a more tranquil and sophisticated community, Cap Cana is the best choice. The only downside is that mopeds, atvs, motorcycles, three wheelers, etc.. are not allowed in Cap Cana. Among other reasons as safety issues, one of the main concerns with those type of vehicles in Cap Cana is noise levels.

You can use a bicycle or golf cart for getting around inside Cap Cana. It is a huge complex. Have you considered Punta Cana Village, where everything is within walking distance?

I know a guy who has a "more regular" house in Cap Cana and he sometimes rides a scooter and sometimes his huge 3 wheel motorcycle monster. Never had problems, but then, he owns a property there.
