I studied a semester in the DR at PUCCM and I would like to return for a few weeks over the summer to learn more spanish. I don't want credit for school, I just want a class to learn spanish (I'm at intermediate level). My question is: Where can I go that is inexpenisive and good to learn Spanish?

The Language Institute in Sosua is excellent. Most students come from Canada and Europe. Students screened into classes on basis of ability. Most classes of the immersion type. Don't know if their fees within your budget. Call them at 809-571-3185/3174. They have some dorm facilities connected with the school that you may want to investigate, also.

The Intercultural Institute which the Sosua link above takes you to is the program I referred to. From all reports, it is an excellent program. People I know who have gotten instruction there speak very highly of it. I plan to take some classes there myself.
