Hi,

What is required for formal, legal marriage? Papers, medical tests, ages, waiting period etc.

Are there additional ones if one party is a non resident living in the US and the other a Dominican citizen and resident of the DR?

Is it helpful to use an attorney?

Hi Skip,

If this is both you and your future wife's first marriage, then you need to go to the consulate in your state (US) and receive documenations stating so.

Your spouse if they are Dominican needs special papers from the DR.
