Not many expats there. How's your Spanish and can you blend in?

I find renting is word of mouth. Go to a few colmados and chat up the people.

Btw, the last time I was there the children all wanted to touch my super fine blond hair. It was so different. My girlfriend grew up there and I found no problems mixing with the locals although the neighborhood looked like a concrete and rebar war zone.
