Hi All,

I need to send money to the US. Which is the easiest, most inexpensive way to do it? Is there a place where I can buy US$ money orders? It's my first time sending money abroad and I would love to hear your suggestions.

I also need to get some documents translated from Spanish to English by a certified translator for an immigration process. Any suggestions.

Others will perhaps chime in about the least expensive but perhaps the easiest way to send money is via Western Union. I have sent money from both the DR and the USA to Haiti and Puerto Rico. It may not be least expensive but it is certainly reliable. There are tons of places to pick up here in the USA. Another way is via PayPal if both you and the recipient have a PayPal account.

As for a translator - send a private message here to Chirimoya who is a translator - not sure about what her legal status is but she will certainly be able to steer you to the right person.
