Chain of Costudy
Does anybody know how to go about extracting a DNA sample from a rug (that was used to cover a villain's mouth, while committing robbery) in a way that it is admissible in court?
.
Hi, the only company in the DR that could do this test is ADNLAB in Santo Domingo. We used them in a similar case.
But, and here comes the big 'BUT" ... even if you get the DNA Profile, there is no DNA Database in the DR to compare it to. Meaning, you need to find the suspect and obtain his profile to compare it to. Also, there is no chain of custody for the sample (mask) the used while robbing you. How can you prof that it is belong to the robber. About involving Police, if you are not a member of one of the top 10 family's in the DR and you mention DNA Evidence, the will just laugh at you. Sorry for the bad news.
