If you are on vacation, this isn't the sort of day you want. But for those of us who live here, it is a welcome change. It has been very, very dry this summer (at least on the north coast) and the aquaducts are very low. It has also been a very tough summer for the farmers and the animals.

But I understand that when you are on vacation, you expect nothing but sunshine.

Count your blessings Paul - We've had hardly ANY rain in PoP today, 15 minutes light rain at about 6.00 p.m.!!! We NEED somr rain here!!
So, put on your overcoat & welly boots & come visit us in PoP, bringing the rain with you please!!! - G.

the whole western hemisphere is suffering from drought conditions, I guess all the rain went to Europe.

The "Whole western hemisphere"? That is hardly the case. We here in South Florida are experiencing one of the wettest summers on record!
