North American Doctors came up with their own dictionary of Dominican Medical Terms to be able to treat us more effectively!!
Destemblanza: Mysterious body temterature, not high enough to be Fever but serious enogh to miss school or work.
Patatu' : Attack of obscure origin that can strike at any time. Could be serious enogh to require Hospitalization, yet is undectected by Medical Technology. Victims tend to be over 50 years of age.
Sirimba : Attack similar to the Patatu's but not as serious & w/ shorter duration. Can be alleviated laying down with an alcohol-damped cloth on the forehead.
Chichon : Elevated cranial protrusion usually caused by the fall after a Patatu' or Sirimba.
