Hey I need some help here! My computer screwed up and now I can't get into any chat rooms. NADA! Can anyone give me a clue as how to set my setting thingys to enable the chaats to show? I've tried everything

Doesn't look like the resident computer whiz's are coming to your rescue Jan.
All I can tell ya is under your internet options-security you need to have "cookies" enabled and "enable scripting of Java applets".
What else I don't remember....do a search on chat or chat help and some of the answers should be there as some ppl had trouble when the chat was first added.

This happened 3 days ago. I tried to put a roller mouse on the 'puter and I didn't have the windows disc. I don't know what happened but I lost all my programs..saw them going and couldn't stop it! but I got most back now its just the settings ..I can't get them right.

Roll it back to the oldest date using the process I sent you and it will go back to that date, Windows saves 5 dates so do it quick each day counts.

Ok shutdown your computer and restart in the MS DOS mode, at the C:/ prompt type in the following:
scanreg /restore
This will give you 5 dates pick the oldest date given and then restore it, this will take your computer back to that day exactly as it was. Then you will restart your computer and you should be back in business.

It was too late to go back. I downloaded some java scripts stuff and it finally works again! It took alot of work but I did it! YAHOO! Tahnks for the help!
