Hello....I am a Canadian pilot and will be visiting the D.R. this February 2003.
Are there any positions for pilots in the D.R. I have the following qualifications:

Canadian Airline Licence
3000 hours including multi engine and turbine engine time.
Instrument rating.
English and Portuguese (some Spanish) language skills.
Experience in scheduled airline, charters and air ambulance operations. Also high traffic airports as well as gravel strip and remote flying.

Any information or lead will be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Lots of pilots selling insurance here.

There is not much of a market. (1) All the Air Force pilots are the ones flying the local big shots around. Helicopter pilots, same thing.(2) Civilian pilots are filling the jobs in local planes-charter and internal stuff.(3) No DR airline that could use your skills.

Not now. Used to be with (sort of) a little company called Lynx Air International out of Ft. Lauderdale-they flew Metro IIIs into the DR. But did not know how to exploit the market. Left here just befor the new STI airport opened....
