Any opinions on Hotel Waterfront vs. Sosua By The Sea. Price doesn't matter. Looking for the closest proximity (access) to the town beach, nice room (TV, AC, View), liberal guest policy, informal. Loved Zapata in Boca Chica - would be happy to debate it's DR1 critics. Thanks - D

Never heard of Hotel Waterfront. Sosua by the Sea is a short walk to the big beach and a few steps from the little beach.

Hotel Europa

Neither of the two hotels you mentioned fit the puzzle. Hotel Europa falls into "all of the above".

Never heard of Hotel Waterfront? Is lovable Eddy turning sarcastic on us????

I have stayed at Sosua by the Sea a bunch of times, it is nice, but not near the "town beach", it has its own little beach behind the hotel which is nice. The town beach is a little bit of a walk away, probably 10 min. But it has nice rooms and all of the amenities you mentioned, I don't know how informal they are on their guest policy though. I did have a nightmare issue with paying with a credit card there once, you should know. Long story - bottom line is they charged me twice and claimed they didn't. But all in all I have had good experiences there.

I've never stayed at the Waterfront but I've heard good things and eaten there once. Very nice dining room, and the staff was very friendly too. A bit closer to the town beach.

He he. No not sarcastic no way. Didn't connect "Restaurant on the Waterfront. I eat there a few times a month Great Food and Service" to Hotel Waterfront "Charlie's Cabanas". (Sorry Bob)

Yeah,I recommend the Europa except its a 10 minute walk to the beach.Very nice and clean hotel though with a very "liberal" guest policy like you mentioned.

Neither of the two hotels mentioned have a liberal guest policy. I would think Hotel Europa would be the best, have recently stayed there for 5 weeks. They don't have a view though.

Since money is no object, rent a car and stay at Villa Chessa. Quiet, walking distance to a small beach that isn't as calm as the main beach, beautiful pool and grounds, 3 doors down from the casino so you can do more with that stuff that has no object. 35-dollars a night with great breakfast and a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, one for you and one for your new wife.

Did that help you at all? lol
