I'm afraid it's pretty much over by then
Easter Week starts on the 11th!! the schools let out and those that can, take off!
For the working folks, university students and a few others, the fun starts on Wednesday evening with mad hatter shopping, and a dash to the beach.
"In olden times, when knights were gay and the ladies fair...." we used to take off at maybe 8 in the evening and arrive at the beach at 10, if the roads were passable. One time that I am never allowed to forget, the roads were so muddy that I blew one of the rocker arms off the poor VW, and we ended up walking the last two kilometers into the beach. Fortunately for us, many of the local men were heading back home, too, well "lubricated", and for a few pesos and some more "lubrication" that lasted well into the night, we arrived with all our stuff. Ms HB never lets me forget that she had to walk amongst frogs, the bain of her existance, that were out on the muddy road soaking up some of the evening's heat....
Thursday is often spent in a drunken, frenzied stupor or whirling dirvish of party, party, party; Friday is hangover day with lots of beach time and often things quiet down a bit in the afternoon. Friday evening is the beginning of the big bash that ends early Sunday morning....
Many of the schools do not start classes until Tuesday so the parents can recuperate from the "vacation."
