Hi,
Everyone. My name is Kieron I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and it's brilliantly informative. I'm Coming to DR from London on May 25th with my wife and 2 children ( aged 8 & 10) We are staying at Nanny Estates. Has anyone else stayed there and can give some local info. I hear that they have beach erosion in the area and will be digging up the sand. Also is it close to town are there any nice restarants in the area? I love King Prawns with garlic and chilli.
This is my 3rd trip now but we hav'nt been since 1990 how has the area changed?
Any info is much appreciated
Cheers
Kieron

nanny estates

I'v been there in march and yes the beach right down from the Estate is not that nice. But walk 5 min. to you're left and you're at kite-beach (no good for swimming though with the surfers but beautiful to watch them). 5 min. to you're right you're at the nice beach of Cabarete.
You can also find very nice seafood-restaurants at the beach in Cabarete.

A very good restaurant specializing in sea food is La Casita. It is on the beach.
