Lan Chile doesn't want to operate Lan Dominicana now. Crisis in Dominican Republic is only in its beginning, exchange rate will grow fast in next months and less dominicans will be able to travel aboard. This is the worst time to create a new airline here now, so when 1 USD will be 50 DOP, let's see what will happen.

I think the issue in question is whether what you posted your opinion(which could still be corrected) or an official press conference or statement.

More incredibly useful news to those considering traveling to the DR. On the bright side it did not mention Aeromar in any way shape or form.

If it happens this week, then I will only exchange a little teeny tiny amount of US per day after I arrive tomorrow. So by next week I am getting 5000 RD$ per $100 US - whooppee!

ricktoronto, this is not that funny, indeed it will be so one day, and not so long from today. I would like to ask you to take care when you make those sarcastic comments about tiny amounts etc. It looks cheap speaking about these things while you are in Canada.
