Island tours

Our 1st visit to DR will be Jan 2004.
Looking to go on a tour of the island to see scenery and culture. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Did see something about an Outback tour. Either an all day trip or a couple smaller ones would be great.

We will be staying in Punta Cana area at the Iberostar Dominicana

The Dominican Republis is 48,000 sq. km.

So I doubt that you will see much of it.

However, there are very nice day tours that take you out and about. Do them.

And on your next trip, be adventurous. Stay at a small hotel, not all-inclusive, and go about. North Coast, East Coast and South Coast, all different, all special, and all lovely...

Or visit the mountains and freeze your butts off....in the summertime!
