Hello,

Does anyone know of any flights from Punta Cana to Puerta Plata and if so what airline services them? Having a friend come to visit in 2 weeks and we can get her round trip into punta cana for $400 but into Pop at $700... might save the oney if we can find a cheap connecting flight.

nope, no regular flights for this route. your friend should use ground transportation, taxi will cost like 200 USD one way. If you'll use bus transportation you will have to spend a night in SDQ or PUJ. It is 7 hours by road.

There are charter companies that cater for the individual traveller as well, sapair and air century, to name but a few.
They are reliable and you can ask for a price quote on their websites.

Lost Cause

AirSD runs three days a week, once a day for $80 USD from PUJ to POP all else wanted $300 USD. We chalked it up and bought AA tickets through a travel agency called Sunburst Travel. After weeks of searching the cheapest we could find fro Washington DC to POP for my best friend was $688, however through Sunburst we found one for $543 so my friend snatched it up and is coming on July 26th for a week. I am very excited, thank you guys for all your help.
