ATM's in RD

I plan to bring a Washington Mutual ATM card and a Visa credit card. Can I use them at bank machines to withdraw pesos with relative ease? The WaMu ATM is on Plus, Interlink and Star systems. Does anyone know if the local ATMs provide good rates or are open most hours? Thanks.

Search the archives this topics has been disgusted extensively. There are many freestanding ATM machine open 24 hrs. Cards have been known to be eaten so if you use the ATM during bank hours you can recover your card more quickly. I am not sure how the rate is determined, we had very good exchange rate but that was almost a year ago, with the peso fluctuating so much I am not sure where you rate is determined and by whom...
