my brother-in-law wants a Samgsung SGH-S105 cell phone, which retail for approx $350 US(UNLOCKED). Does anyone know how much they are in the DR.

Good cell phones like a 3 band Nokia are under RD$3000 in Orange shops, so less than US$100. Why anyone would spend the equivalent of RD$10,000 on a cell phone is beyond me.
You can now get a good basic Motorola for RD$890 and a basic Mitsubishi for RD$990. A phoneis a phone. It isn't a camera, or MP3 player. (They can be just mediocre versions of these devices)
Save your dough. Buy one here within a sensible price range.

Escott, The phone he was asking for is on http://celluarabroad.com. This is not a fancy phone with all the bells and whistles( has quite a few though)The prices seemed pretty high to me until i started looking around for unlocked phones, and found out what price the phone companies charge to unlock. He wants to just buy cards and pay as you go.
