Gloria Estefan

Can someone tell me where Gloria Estefan was born and raised.

Gloria Estefan was born in Cuba. Her parents came from cuba when she was Five years old. Although I'm not sure if she was raised in Miami or other area. I think her father died when she was little or very young. She has a younger sister. Hope this help you on answering your question.

Her family (grand parents??) were from the north of Spain and moved to Cuba. Last time she was in Spain she visited some spanish family there.

Gloria Estefan Born Gloria Fajardo was born in Cuba. Her ancestors were from Galicia. Brought to Miami to escape Fidel while still a young girl. Her father suffered through a long illness and died when she was about 18 years of age. Started out singing for friends and relatives at parties. Was swept away by a svengali like Emilio Estefan. She was 15 he was 28. Quite proficient in cranking out Commercial pop.
