The peso selling rate (selling you pesos for US$) is pretty consistent now - RD$32 at most if not all cambios in Boca Chica. Tuesday night at SDQ airport Banco Reservas sold pesos at RD$32.5:1.
Some cambios here try RD$31 per $1US but when told the small one up the street is at 32 they pay 32. I have no idea what the US$ selling rate is (buying pesos/selling US$) as I am only buying pesos.
The rate has been 31-32 from Monday of this week until today. Last weekend it was 31 at SDQ, 29 in Boca Chica.
Amazingly enough there is no shortage of sub-1000 peso notes so no longer are you hassled with having large bills thrust uopn you despite the obvious value (to the cambio) of deploying them at the rate of 3000 RD$ for US$100.
