Does anyone know what Russian airline plans to fly here?

I hear that the DR will receive direct flights from Russia.

I can only find this from a previous post.

"German carrier LTU will start serving Russian Federation, from June 28 they will introduce flights DUS-ROV-DUS".

Rob.

found something

I had also heard something on that subject.

The airline that was mentioned here before is Aviaco.

The thing I have not been able to figure out is if this airline the same same Aviaco that is owned by Iberia.

Ask Mark Porter

Maybe they are now flying to the DR from Providence or whatever via Moscow on PanAm. Got to keep the inexplicable delays somehow.

Until now we have a confirmation from VIM AVIA, russian charter carrier based in VKO, they plan to use DC10-30 to fly MOW PUJ VRA from NOV 2003.

Until today only East Line Airlines and Aeroflot were carriers who operated flights from Russia to DR. Aeroflot operated SU337/338 flights during 1996-1998 SVO SNN NAS POP SNN SVO, by IL62M. East Line Airlines /P7/ operates charter flights P7 9691/ 9692 DME GDX LRM SNN DME, these flights are for December only.

Transaero Airlines probbaly will start flying charters from 2004, they will use 763.
