Importing pets into the DR

Through previous messages, I learned that in order to bring my pets into the DR that I would need a certificate of health from my vet. I have asked several vets from my area and they don't know what I'm refering to. Is ther a "form" I need? Where can I get this info? We will be moving to the DR as missionaries and plan to stay for 3 years. Time is getting short and I am concerned about effective time requirements for vaccinations. Thank you!!! Cathy

This form is just RD$100 cash paid to the customs man as you enter with kitty in a travel box. Actually they cannot read the papers you give them anyways. I imported a few animals and the vet papers showing that the animal has had all the shots and such is all you need.
