he reminds me so much of sgt. bilko - an american tv character (probably better remembered by bbc2 watching brits).
bilko was another man, who people thought was a fool, but always managed to get himself out of every hole he tripped into.
for all his money-scheming, his people always loved him in the end.
no matter what, he always managed to stay at his post, regardless of how hard they tried to move or transfer him.
